I’m proud to present my band, Pilot Knob Ridge.
Besides backing me on my own compositions, we perform a combination of classic country, alt-country, folk, and bluegrass.

Although playing bass is somewhat new to me, the love and appreciation of music is not.
I learned to play on an acoustic bass guitar in 2006 and within a few months upgraded to an upright.
My influences (besides Mark) include Ronnie Bowman, Mike Bub, Alan Bartram and Todd Phillips.
Bass may be new to me, but the obsession and driving passion haunts me constantly.
I can not fathom a time that it will not be a part of my life.

My husband Mark has played guitar since about 6th grade and I've been exposed to music through him since that time.
I've played a few chords on the guitar during our past 28 years of marriage, but never really took an interest,
or thought I was capable of playing an instrument. He bought a mandolin in February of 2004
and for the first time in my life I had the desire to attempt to play.
Both the look and sound of the mandolin attracted me. I'm not a natural,
but I'm understanding music on a level I never dreamed possible. After being content to only listen to musicians for 47 years,
I feel I'm finally moving on to a new dimension of music and life through playing the mandolin..
